I started my long and rewarding career at Enterprise Rent A Car shortly after graduating from a high school in Celina Texas. During my 10 year tenure I received 6 promotions and worked the last 3 years as the Regional Accounting Manager. But after spending 5 years in the accounting department I realized I craved a more social career. After all, accounting is repetitive, solitary and everyone dreads your phone call because it generally means there's a problem. Working at Enterprise during tremendous growth years, both domestically and internationally, gave me a sound understanding of team building and project management.
After leaving Enterprise I began buying real estate and "flipping" houses. I knew I'd found my passion so I decided to get my Loan Officer license and went to work at Homewood Mortgage. There was no sense in paying commissions for mortgage loans when I could do them myself. The mortgage business was booming and it was a network driven industry, so I was back out in the real world and not alone in my office with stacks of daily reports to audit and my 10 key.
I absolutely loved being a loan officer, and decided to get my real estate license as well. There is a such sense of accomplishment and joy when you help clients find their dream home. By staying in the real estate industry for 15 years coupled with my accounting experience I have been able to build my portfolio and manage my own rental properties.
